Payroll software for accounting firms

PayrollMaster gives an accounting firm one account to run every client’s payroll. Create a client organisation or invite an existing one, set per-client permissions for your team, switch into a client’s books in a click, and see clients, employees, runs and gross payroll on one agency dashboard.

The problem

Why running someone else’s payroll is harder

For accounting, audit and bookkeeping firms that run client payrolls.

  • Payroll sits outside the books

The payroll is done in one place and the journal is keyed into another. Every month someone re-types numbers that were already correct once, and a typo becomes an audit finding.

  • A login per client

Ten clients means ten logins, ten password resets and ten places to check. Nobody can answer “how much payroll did we process last month?” without opening all ten.

  • Month-end lands on everyone at once

Every client has the same statutory deadline. The work does not queue politely — it arrives together, and the only way through is more hours or fewer checks.

Payroll becomes a service line you can add clients to without adding headcount.

How it works

How does an agency account work?

Four steps, from adding your first client to seeing the whole book on one screen.

  1. 1

    Add the client

Create a managed organisation for a client who has nothing yet, or invite one that already runs on PayrollMaster. Their employees, pay components and statutory setup live in their own books.

  2. 2

    Scope who sees what

Grant your team access per client. A junior can work one client’s payroll without seeing the rest of the book; a partner sees everything.

  3. 3

    Work the book

Switch into any client’s books in one click, run their payroll on their country’s statutory rules, and switch back. No second login, no separate tool per client.

  4. 4

    See it all at once

The agency dashboard aggregates clients, employees, payroll runs and gross payroll, with a cross-client activity feed showing who did what, where.

Questions

Accounting firms: common questions

Can an accounting firm run payroll for multiple clients?

Yes. An agency account manages multiple client organisations from one login. You create a client organisation or invite an existing one, switch into their books in a click, and run their payroll on their own country’s statutory rules. The agency dashboard shows the whole book at once.

Can I control which clients my staff can see?

Yes. Permissions are granular and per client. A team member can be given access to one client’s payroll and nothing else, which keeps a junior out of the rest of the book and keeps client data properly separated.

How do I onboard a client who already uses PayrollMaster?

Invite them. An existing client organisation can be connected to your agency account without rebuilding their employees or pay history — their books stay theirs, and you get access at the permission level they agree to.

Do different clients in different countries work in one account?

Yes. Each client organisation runs on its own country’s statutory rules — PAYE, social security and levies are maintained centrally and applied per client. A firm with Kenyan and Nigerian clients manages both from the same agency account.
